Miwa Fujii
Senior IPv6 Specialist

Miwa Fujii is currently the APNIC Senior IPv6 Program Specialist. Her role is to assist the Asia Pacific Internet community in managing issues related to IPv4 address exhaustion and the transition to IPv6. She is responsible for various projects that support the smooth transition to IPv6 including outreach activities to -a wide range of stakeholders.
Miwa regularly represents APNIC’s view on the transition to IPv6 at global IPv6 Summits and Forums, intergovernmental organizations such as APEC, APT, SPC, and other conferences around the Asia Pacific region.

Vu The Binh
Director General of NetNam

Binh joined NetNam in 1996, one year before the official introducing of Internet into Vietnam and NetNam become one of the first 4 ISPs. His job related to Internet technologies, services and business since then. NetNam started introducing e-mail services in Dec 1994, while it was a spin-off division of Institute of Information Technology.
Previously the CEO of NetNam in Jun 2010 after its IPO, he acted as Internet-related engineer, business manager and deputy director of state-owned NetNam company.
Binh has also involving in promoting Free & Open Source Software (FOSS) in Vietnam, as he managed various international-related FOSS projects and now acting as a VP of Vietnam FOSS Association (VFOSSA).
He was born in Hanoi and had graduated from HUT (Hanoi University of Technology), having Master of Economics from VCU (Vietnam Commerce University) and spent a year studying FOSS and e- business in Germany.

Katsuyasu Toyama
General manager of the technology department of JPNAP

Katsuyasu Toyama is general manager of the technology department of JPNAP / INTERNET MULTIFEED CO., an exchange point service operated by the Internet Multifeed Co in Japan. He was involved in the establishment of the company in 1997, and there he designed JPNAP's network and services in 2000. After six years of research activity in NTT Laboratories, he returned to JPNAP again in 2007. His current interests focus on bridging network operations and network research.

Phillip Smith
Chair of APIA

Philip Smith recently joined APNIC as Learning and Development Director, and previously was with Cisco Systems since 1998. He was part of the Internet Infrastructure Group in CTO Consulting Engineering.
Prior to joining Cisco, he spent five years at PIPEX (now part of UUNET's global ISP business), the UK's first commercial Internet Service Provider. He was one of the first engineers working in the commercial Internet in the UK, and played a key role in building the modern Internet in Europe

Ms Duangthip Chomprang
Regional Affairs Manager - ISOC Asia-Pacific Bureau

Duangthip or “Thip” originates from Bangkok, Thailand. She comes from an international relations & development background with multidisciplinary experiences, in the private and public sector. Her main specialization was in technology transfer strategies for regional, national and sectoral economic development encompassing leadership development, public sector modernization, SME development, women entrepreneurship and nanotechnology.
Prior to her work in international development field, she spent over 14 years in the private sector in the telecom and finance & banking sectors specialising in the areas of corporate strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, investor relations and portfolio risk management. In relation to her telecom/ICT experiences, she possess experiences in tariff negotiation, ICT product/service pricing and concession arbitration.

Fredrik Garneij
Senior Systems Manager IPv6, Ericsson

Fredrik Garneij studied Automation Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. Fredrik has extensive experience in early deployment of upcoming key Internet technologies and is a champion for IP and end2end. In 2001 working at Telia, he deployed the first commercial IPv6 network in Europe. In year 2000 he engineered a SIP based solution making all Telia employees reachable via their email/SIP address. He participated in several EC projects related to IPv6 and served as expert in project audits. Now at Ericsson he works with IPv6 in Ericsson Mobile Packet Core products and 3GPP and IETF IPv6 standardization. His passion for hands-on and IPv6 dissemination has lead to several “firsts” like IPv6@Mona Lisa and IPv6 on Android over 3G.

Miya Kohno
Principal Engineer, Juniper Networks

Miya Kohno has joined Juniper Networks in 2007, where she is a Principal Engineer. Prior to joining Juniper, Miya was a Distinguished Systems Engineer at Cisco Systems.
She is working on network architecture, jointly with Service Providers, Network Operators Groups, and Standardization Communities. Her recent focus is mobility and content networking. She is also a visiting researcher at Keio University.

Garry Sidaway
Director of Security Strategy, Integralis

Garry has worked within the IT industry for over 20 years, working throughout Europe and America. His expertise covers building European organisations; budget management; strategic client management; partnership development; business development. He has been specifically involved with information security since joining Axent Technologies in 1995; previously he was a lead Software engineer for Racal Defence Systems developing key software solutions for the military.
Garry is a respected speaker at information security seminars and has appeared on Sky News. He has participated in round table discussions on security issues effecting business growth and development.
Garry has worked throughout the world in a wide range of industries, giving him a unique insight into business risks and information security. He has been instrumental in the development of security solutions to meet business needs. Garry has also issued numerous white papers on business security and regularly comments in the press on security incidents and trends.

Theodoric Chan
Chief Operating Officer NTT Singapore Pte Ltd

Theodoric has over twenty-five years of telecommunications experience and has held various senior positions in areas of management, commercial, operations and engineering in Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Theodoric Chan has been working in NTT group company since 1999. He is now the Chief Operating Officer of NTT Singapore Pte Ltd, heading the functions of formulating strategic directions, business operations and partnership alliances.
Based in Asia (Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore), Mr. Chan has been deeply participating in NTT’s regional IP business developments (launching of IPv6 ISP services in Hong Kong in 2000, building up the IPv6 infrastructure ready data center in Singapore in 2012, engaging with various ASEAN and Sub-Mekong Regional IP and IX task activities) in past 12 years.
Theodoric is a Chartered Engineer and member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), and The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (MHKIE). Theodoric holds a Bachelor of Engineering (1st Class Hons) and a Master of Business Administration.

Theodoric Chan

Taku Morinobu, Senior Manager of OCN and GIN service backbone team, joined NTT at 1997. He has been working at NTT to start the first international internet backbone service as his first job. After taking the task of design and operation of NTT's IPBB service, he moved on to the planning of new services with NTT's newly acquired ISP, Verio.
After experiencing sales engineering and taking part in government test　bed network project, he is assigned as senior manager of technology for OCN Backbone and GIN services.

Nguyen Huu Bach

Joined NTT Communications (a subsidiary company of NTT: Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation) since 2005.
Until 2010, he worked as a reseach IP engineer in IP network technology including IPv6, network operating support system.
He has been involved in the development and deployment of "OCN IPv6", one of the first IPv6 consumer service.
From 2010, he has been involved in operating and designing the backbone network for Global Internet Network(GIN) service.

Eric Ku

Eric is Customer Solution Architect currently reporting into Cisco APJC CTO group. Eric has 14 years experience in working with Service Provides in the region helping with development and deployment of IP/TDM networks.
Eric has experience in designing IP/MPLS infrastructure for Fix and Wireless service providers. In the early days prior to MPLS also deployed ATM networks and subsequently worked with providers to migrate from TDM to IP/MPLS.
Other experience also includes Business Development works with APAC service providers helping them evolved network and services.
Eric graduated from Queensland University of Technology majoring in Data Communication. He currently resides in Singapore.

Martin J. Levy
Director IPv6 Strategy Hurricane Electric

Martin Levy has been involved in the TCP/IP world since the publication of those first TCP/IP RFCs. Born and educated in England, Martin moved to the United States to work as a software developer at the prestigious Bell Labs. It was at Bell Labs that he ran their first TCP/IP network-enabled UNIX computers. After seven years in New Jersey, Martin moved to California and joined the Silicon Valleyentrepreneurial-life to continue his focus on networking software and systems. When the ISP industry started to take root in the early 1990s, it was a natural industry for Martin move into.
Since then, Martin has been building networks in California, the US, Europe and Latin America. Since joining Hurricane Electric in early 2008, Martin has taken on the role of significantly expanding the Hurricane Electric IPv6 commercial offerings, including its expansion into Asia. Martin Levy is a regular speaker at various worldwide Internet-related conferences.

Micheal Baber

Michael Biber is Professional Services Manager with IPv6Now Pty Ltd and CEO of Asia Pacific Networx. Michael is President and Founder of the IPv6 Forum in Australia and is presently acting as Chair of the Asia Pacific IPv6 Task Force. Michael provides consultancy, project management, support and training in the areas of advanced technology network design, Broadband Networking, Voice and Video over IP, Cloud Strategy, VPNs, LAN Interconnect, IP Networking, Voice/Video/Data Convergence, Thin Client/Server Based Computing and IT&T (Information Technology and Telecommunications) project management. IPv6Now is an accredited IPv6 Transition Authority and is actively involved in IPv6 strategic network planning, training and consultancy. Michael is a Gold Certified IPv6 Forum Network Engineer. Michael has been an APECTEL workshop leader for Telecommunications Strategy for developing counties throughout Asia/Pacific, including Vietnam, Brunei, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. Michael Biber has over 40 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. He worked for Telstra in Australia, Esso/Exxon in the US, Fujitsu in Australia/Japan/UK and Digital Equipment Corporation in the US before commencing his consultancy, Asia Pacific Networx in 1992. In addition to seminal work with the IPv6 Forum in Australia, Michael is past Chair of the AARNet IPv6 Working Committee and External Relations Director of the Advanced Networking Forum Australia (ANFA). He was a founding member (1991) and is past Secretary of the Pacific Frame Relay Forum as well as past Executive Director of the ATM Forum in Australia. Michael is active in the standards community and sits as a member of ISO IT023. Michael was the first Public Officer/Secretary of the Australian Communications Industry Forum (ACIF) now Communications Alliance. Michael is a member of the IEEE and the Internet Society in Australia
 

Paul Wilson
Director General of APNIC

Paul Wilson has twenty years’ involvement with the Internet, includingover ten years’ experience as the Director General of APNIC. As part of this current role, he represents the activities and interests of the Asia Pacific Internet community in local and global forums related to the development and management of the Internet.

Previously the Chief Executive Officer of Pegasus Networks, the first private ISP established in Australia, Paul also acted as a consultant to the United Nations and other international agencies. As a primary consultant on Internet projects, including the PAN Program with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Paul helped to introduce Internet services for the first time in several developing economies.

Paul is a highly respected member of the global Internet community and participates in the following organizations: APIA, APNG, ISIF, NRO, ISOC and dotAsia.  

Tran Minh Tan
Deputy Director General of Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC)

Tan holds a Engineer degree in Computer Engineering from Hanoi University of Technology and a Master degree in Information Technology from Hanoi National University.
Tan had joined the Vietnam Data Communications Company – VDC (a biggest ISP in Vietnam) for years as Chief of R&D Software Department. He joined Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) in 2000.
His responsibility is in charge of .VN domain name, IP address allocation and management in Vietnam; Internet addressing policy researching and external community cooperation. He has been involved in IP policy developing since he joined VNNIC, and he has been actively devoted himself on promotion and deployment of IPv6 network in the local community. He was author or co-author of several Regulations on .VN and IP address management in Vietnam.
Tan is also a member Board of the Vietnam National IPv6 Task Force.
 

Chanki Park
IP Team Director, KISA

Chanki Park is IP address management team director in KISA. His main role is managing IP addresses allocated in Korea, and promoting IPv6 in Korea. He handles various projects : IPv6 consulting, IPv6 education, IPv6 service coverage expansion and so on.
He also has many experiences on domain names and DNS.

Nguyen Truong Thanh

Nguyen Truong Giang

Nguyen Luu Hoang

Hoang is working in WANSI (WAN solutions and SI) division of NetNam Corporation.
He was born in Hanoi, graduated from HUT (Hanoi University of Technology) in 2009, and now he's finishing his MBA at FTU (Foreign Trade University).
He's been working for NetNam since 2009 as a system engineer and pre-sales person. He's appointed to be in the NetNam IPv6 Task Force since 2010, and also taking part in various advanced technologies projects, including CISCAI (www.ciscai.org). He's also actively participating in many IPv6-related events, such as APRICOT 2012 and APNIC recently in New Delhi.

Justin Chiah

As the Category Manager, he is responsible in overseeing the regional product management team that looks after pricing, new product introduction, product management and business management of the various product categories within the HP Networking Portfolio in the Asia Pacific and Japan region. Justin is also responsible for developing and leading demand generation programs in the region.
Justin has been with HP Networking for three and a half years and formerly was the HP ProCurve Product Marketing Manager for the Small Medium Business and Wireless portfolio. Prior to that he was the Director of Product Marketing for Aztech Systems Ltd based in Singapore. Justin started his career with Cabletron Systems, one of the pioneering companies in the Enterprise Networking industry where he held multiple roles in the Sales and Marketing team.

Nguyen Hong Thang
Deputy Director General of Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC)

Thang holds a Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications and a Master degree in Electronics Technology.
He joined Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) in 2000. He was one of the first engineers working for the critical system for “.vn” ccTLD, and plays a key role in building the national DNS system for .VN domain.

He is in charged of Technology, Research and Development, national .VN DNS system, Vietnam National Internet Exchange point (VNIX). He is also the person who designed and setup IPv6 Network. He has been actively devoted himself on promotion and deployment of IPv6 in Vietnam. Thang is a member Board of the Vietnam National IPv6 Task Force

Maemura Akinori

Maemura Akinori is currently the General Manager of the InternetDevelopment Department at the Japan Network Information Center (JPNIC).
Akinori began his career in the Internet industry in 1994, designing anation-wide IP network operated by the NEC Corporation. Since then he has been involved in the Japanese Internet Community as a founding member of the steering committee of JANOG (Japan Network Operators Group) and JPNIC activities in its IP address management business as a committee member and the Trustee-in-charge. After working for the France Telecom Group seven years from 2000, he joined JPNIC as General Manager, Internet Development Department.

Mr Hà Minh Tuấn is deputy director of Viettel Network, the company that takes care of entire network and infrastructures of Viettel Group. He joined Viettel in 2005 and he is in charge of designing and planning for all Viettel networks including Vietnam and abroad markets.
